Warrnambool & District Community Hospice

PO Box 755
Warrnambool 3280

Our vision is to provide people who are dying, with the option of compassionate care in their own home settings.

Hospice in the Home is about helping people make the most of every moment as their lives draw to a close. It is about keeping people at home, if they don’t want to be, and don’t need to be, in busy hospitals.

Hospice care is the kind of care that seeks to keep people comfortable from pain free in the last stages of an illness. Symptoms present during end of life care can often be managed at home… where most people would prefer to be.

70% of Australians would prefer to die at home rather than in Hospital - only 15% do. Hospice in the Home's purpose is to help people with their preference.

You shine with love and compassion, you are an inspiration Sandra. You are always so giving and understanding. So happy you have finally been recognised for your strength and abilities Xxx SP

People who would prefer to die at home will have a better chance of doing so. Families and friends will be supported through difficult times.
